Privacy & Cookies Policy
Last updated: 18 April 2026
This Privacy & Cookies Policy explains how Daytics ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses information when you visit daytics.com and use any of the free online tools and calculators we provide.
1) Who we are
Daytics (daytics.com) is a free collection of online calculators and utilities, built and maintained by an independent UK-based developer. The site hosts tools across several categories — time and date utilities, UK finance calculators, everyday maths, health trackers, developer helpers, image tools, productivity timers, and world data — all accessible without registration or payment.
We do not run user accounts and we do not sell personal data. Contact: info@daytics.com.
2) What we collect
Usage data: pages viewed, tool interactions (e.g., which calculator you used, whether you clicked "Calculate"), approximate device and browser details. Collected via Google Analytics 4 in aggregate, never tied to a named individual by us.
Technical logs: standard web server logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) for security and diagnostics.
Inputs to calculators stay on your device. Every tool on daytics runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you type a salary, a date, an image, or any other data into a tool on this site, that data is processed locally and is not sent to our servers. We have no ability to see what you enter into the calculators.
No special category data and no account/profile data are collected.
3) Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage for:
- Essential operation: loading the site quickly, caching via our service worker for offline and fast repeat loads, remembering UI preferences like theme and language.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregated usage — how many people visit, which tools are used most, which countries the audience comes from.
- Advertising: We may show Google AdSense ads. Until the AdSense application is fully approved and activated, only placeholder slots are present. When ads are enabled, Google may set cookies to measure ad performance and, where permitted, personalise ads.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you prefer not to be measured by Google Analytics, you can use Google's Analytics Opt-out.
4) Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
GA4 helps us understand how the site is used — for example, how many people click "Calculate" on the VAT Calculator, which countries visit the Holidays tool, or which articles in the blog are most read. GA4 processes device and usage information and may set first-party cookies. We do not use GA4 to identify you as a specific individual. Data retention is controlled in our Google Analytics settings.
5) Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this website. Google AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet. In the UK/EU/EEA, we respect consent requirements — until a consent management solution is deployed, ads will be non-personalised or disabled. Google may collect information as an independent controller when ads are shown. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. For more information, see How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites and Google's advertising & cookies policy.
6) Third-party services we call
Some tools on daytics call third-party public APIs to work. When you use one of these tools, your IP address and basic request data are visible to that third party:
- Nager.Date — public holidays data for the Business Days Calculator, Holidays tool, and Holiday Calendar.
- Open-Meteo — weather forecast data for the Weather tool.
- ExchangeRate.host (or equivalent) — live currency rates for the Currency Converter.
- Sunrise-Sunset.org — sunrise and sunset times for the Sunrise & Sunset tool.
None of these services receive any personal data beyond a standard HTTP request. We do not pass your name, email, or any calculator input to these services.
7) Legal basis
- Essential operations (site delivery, caching, security): legitimate interests.
- Analytics: consent where required by law; otherwise legitimate interests in improving the service.
- Advertising: consent where required by law; otherwise legitimate interests in funding the service.
8) Data sharing & retention
We share data with service providers (e.g., Google) to operate analytics and ads. We do not sell personal data. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Analytics retention is managed in GA4 settings.
9) Security
We use HTTPS and standard security measures. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect the service and your data.
10) Children
Daytics is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us to remove it.
11) Your rights (UK/EU/EEA)
Under UK GDPR and equivalent EU law, you have rights to access, correct, delete, and object to the processing of your personal data, and to restrict or port your data. Because we do not hold account data and all calculator inputs stay on your device, most of these rights apply only to aggregate analytics data — which is not tied to you individually. If you have questions about your data, email info@daytics.com.
12) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days.
13) Contact
Questions or concerns about this policy: info@daytics.com.
Note on consent: If/when we enable AdSense in the UK/EU/EEA, we will implement a consent solution compatible with IAB TCF v2. Until then, ads will be non-personalised or disabled.
